Internationalist solidarity statement from the Liège Branch of the Communist Party of Belgium (PCB-CPB) concerning the repressive police operations against TNT-FedEx workers in Piacenza and the arrest of Trade Union activists of S.I. Cobas. The Liège site has been heavily affected by the corporate restructuring plan developed by the Logistics monopolist TNT-FedEx, which involves 6300 layoffs across Europe. We express our solidarity to the belgian workers and share PCB’s message to the workers of the Piacenza site: Long live internationalist solidarity! Workers of all Countries, Unite!
International solidarity: Freedom for TNT workers and trade unionists
This morning, 25 TNT workers in Piacenza were taken to police headquarters after house searches for participating in a 13-day strike against the plant’s closure and 300 layoffs. The union delegates of the S.I. Cobas were placed under house arrest.
The arrogance of the ruling class and the repression of the bourgeois state can be defeated by the organized and internationally coordinated struggle of the workers against our exploiters.
Freedom for our comrades!
